Yes, very well and quite clearly -- there's no earth atmosphere to make them shimmer or have clouds block the view.

The reason you don't see stars in pictures from the Apollo missions, the space station, etc. is that the stars are thousands of times dimmer than anything in our local area that's lit by the sun. When you expose a picture (or video) properly for the local sunlit things (like people or their spacecraft, or the surface of the moon), there's not enough exposure time to register the stars. If you expose the picture for the stars, anything that's locally lit by the sun would blow out to a horribly over-exposed white.

Yes, you can. You can see stars much better in space than on Earth. However, the light from the Sun and other bodies might make it difficult to see the dim ones.

Yes, but they don't look any bigger. They just don't twinkle because our atmosphere isn't getting in the way. They are pretty much the same brightness as on Earth, which is why you won't see them show up in short exposure pictures (of the Earth, astronauts, Moon, etc) - they still aren't bright enough.

Yes, have you ever heard of Hubble? The view outside the atmosphere (which distorts inbound light) and without photopollution (which blinds us in many places) is much better than on Earth.
