I used to think that way, too. I finally decided, "I'm not taking this crap anymore! I'm going to have the upper hand from now on, and no one is going to hurt me! I'm going to be the one in charge! Once things even start to get rocky, I'm splitting. Every man alive can kiss my *ss! My way or the highway!" About a month after giving up, and being a jerk to a couple of guys by "not wanting anything serious" and not caring how they felt, I met my husband. Married 4 years this March. My point is, once you stop really looking, things happen.

you can't get married just for the sake of getitng married. Marriage is a very serious thing and you should only do it if youre deeply in love and really like the guy too, and willing to take care of him if he gets sick or loses his job, and if he feels the same way about you. Marriage is more about commitment than about lust. Commitment means security, deep love and partnership throughout your life. It should kind of be like having a best friend who isn't perfect but you love him and trust him anyways.

have you tried match.com? a few of my friends tried it out and found guys within months! one of them in one her honeymoon right now! it's an easy way to meet a lot of guys, you can tell them up front that you are looking for a relationship, and turn down the undesirables before you even talk to them on the phone. try it out, it's worth a shot.
other than that, try meeting men at places that decent men frequent, like your gym. don't go to a club or bar looking for men.
seattle has a singles club, called Events and Adventures, for single people only. they do things like white-water rafting, rock climbing, outdoors stuff. you get to do exciting things and meet other single people. look for one in your area.

Why do you want to get married so bad? You don't need a man.. If one comes along and you fall in love, kewl..if not, enjoy who you are as you are. A man will not complete you..

you will find the right one when you stop looking so hard. it usually happens when you least expect it! I fell in love with my man when I wasn't looking for anything and it was the best thing for me. good luck to you!
