I have touched based with a question like this... it's fun. The world we live in is very primative although we believe we have evolved. It is primative because no one really understands their own beliefs nor capable of comprehending them. Peace seeker who often use violence in their tactics are hypocrits and are still very unmindful of the things they hold true to. Until we can learn to hold true to our beliefs and understandings we will never evolve into the advance civilization we think we live in today.

I myself want peace and equality but strongly disagree with violence as a way to obtain it or to use against anyone who disagrees with me. This world is full of situations where it is just better to agree to disagree. And just because I have my way does not mean that someone else's way isn't right too. Unfortunately we are surrounded by those that feel that it is my way or the highway. Case in point: Bush on Iraq and the current Congress on Iraq. Neither seem willing to come to the table and work things out.

Because those people who claim they want peace actually want power.

The arrogance of someone wanting peace is the idea that they can run someone else's life better than that other person can. If everyone agrees, then there would be no conflict. So the easiest way to obtain "peace" is to kill off anyone who would disagree with them.

Examples:
Islamic terrorists think that their religion is the only one worth having. If everyone was Muslim the world would be a better place. So kill off anyone who isn't a Muslim and you'll have peace.

look the Middle East will never be peaceful without ending the Israeli occupation. This is the conclusion of the UN, EU, Backer-Hamilton report, and President Carter new book. No one could NOT change his mind unless he has no mind. Occupying other people by force is losing policy in the past and now and has no future.

desperation. Other people wants the opposite to see their viewpoint and to convince them. Like a child who says barbie is the best, while others say Barats is. They disagree and they fight over it. That's it!
