I have to believe it's a combination of his never ending war with the media plus the fact that he does absolutely nothing to help himself. I wouldn't say he's bigger than the game, no one is. It's just a shame that fame and fortune has to fall upon someone so unappreciative of his own skills. He has taken the game for granted and thinks everyone owes him. There are many with much lessor skills that would play for the love of the game.

I think its the media and the bonds haters ( rather than the fans) that mae bonds bigger than the game. I am a giants fan and a bonds fan. I root for the Giants as thats where I am from and as long as bonds is on my team I root for him. I wont become a bonds basher if he left ( as long as he doesnt ever play for LA)

The haters and the Media talk way more about bonds than I would ever do or the other fans do.

I think I may have posted one question on Bonds in the year I been posting on here.

The media belittles everything Barry has accomplished because he doesn't like them. IF you are against the media in sports, they will try to burn you your entire career. I personally don't blame him for hating them.

Yes because some people are more interested in the scandles then they are of the game.
