I had a friend from E.London & he was white. He was always cursing black people / indian people but when you walk into the local supermarket he would say 'alright Delroy, alright sanj?' You would ask him 'I thought you didn't like these ethnic people?' & he would say 'oh that one is alright their a nice one.' Everyone he knew was coloured it was so funny. But does that make him racist?

Once upon a time there was a man that talked about everyone behind their backs. When he would see an Irish man he would call him Mr. potato head, when he saw an Italian man he would call him a pasta freak, an African man was a bush baby, an Indian man was a camel jockey, and an asian man was a slant eyed ****. No one like the man because no one could be around such hatred. One day someone asked the man if he realized the horrible things that he was saying about everyone. The man just looked at the person puzzled like he didn't know why he would ask him such a thing and responded by saying that he wasn't doing anything wrong, those people are different than me and my mother and father told me that those people are what they are. My mom and dad taught me to feel that way about those people. They learned it from their mom and dad, who learned it from their mom and dad. The moral to this story is that it is up to all of us to break the string of hatred that has ben passed down through the ages, it wont stop until we stop teaching our children to do the same things. Everytime we screw up our kids by poisoning their minds, they will pass it further. Is your friend a racist, or has he been taught to be ignorant by the people closest to him? Don't get angry with him just try to get him not to pass it any further if everyone does that then within two generations we will lose racism all together! Peace, love and joy to you all!!!

That's the real problem with racism, and it happens to most of the people in one way or another. Racism is about generalization, you migth know one black person who is rude, or is a burgler, or just a useless person.
But the problem is that knowing or listening about that one person, make you believe all the black person are like that.
What is fool, is that this friend of you cannot apply it in the opossite way, if he knows one black people who is nice, he should understand, that there migt be a lot of other black people who is nice.
All of us are at some moment racist, maybe not with black or indian or mexican people, but with people who is diferent than us. So, i'd say, you can talk to him and say that he should be less rude when talking about black or indian people, because he can hurt some feelings.
But he is not completely intolerant as many real racist people, so, i believe that friend of you must be a nice guy.

No, he maybe had some bad experience and therefore (which all of us sometimes have). By disliking people does not make you automatic a racist. Using the word racist became too easy....

You can address anybody who you think treats you bad as a racist, because you are colored. I am considered as black, I do call my brothers ****** and others as well..... does that make me racist?

I don't like North Africans.... does that make me a racist.
- My point of view: No!, it only says... I don’t like their general behavior.

If he's always cursing them, yes. Just because he's nice to afew doesn't mean he isn't grouping them altogether and disliking the whole.

So, I have two friends right, so two of them where talking about my teachers husband. I didn't wanna be in the subject but unfortunately I got in it. One of my friends said "Hey, Mrs. Blah Blah's husband is Chinese but looks Mexican. This got me to the point where I said "So your saying Chinese people look Mexican? That is really mean". But, the sound on the bus, yes on the bus, was really loud. Oh yeah and this happened all today. But anyways, the bus was really loud and all my friends herd was "Chinese people look Mexican". They then started getting attention to the kid in front of me who was Chinese saying, "EMILY IS SOOOOO RACIEST!". I said "WHAT?". I said 'WHAT DID I SAY?". They both said I said that Chinese people look like Mexicans. I tried to explain but everyone kept talking over me and saying "YOURRRRR LIEING!". I kept trying to explain to the kid but he kept saying 'Screw you", "Fu" and "Your so mean". I got so upset I was about to cry. When it was time to get off the bus, the kid ran off. I felt super duper bad, since he was really mad at me. Then my friend kept calling my raciest. I just don't know what to do. He's the type of kid who tells everyone about one thing... What if he tells everyone that I'm raciest? I don't know... Please help me!
