i am 23, a male....whats your thoughts on whipping for crimes. if you committed a crime, would you rather be whipped on your back without a shirt on or taken to jail? any details or reasons why? any experience? how would you do it?

There's an old saying...."People wouldn't need lawyers if it weren't FOR lawyers!"

Lawyers have argued cases before the courts concerning the issue of "cruel and unusual punishment."

Whipping in the US would be considered just that because of our society's standards.

well, in the U.S. anyways, this would be considered these days as "cruel" and "unusual" punishment, which is a violation under the constitution
