Yes.
I learned that in drama class. Whenever you have to make a decision for a character, if you say "no", you close down many opportunites for expression. Whereas, if you say "yes", you not only have your main option, but also, you have an infinite amount of tangential options arising from the original source.
And besides, affirmative answers seem more optimistic. There's enough gloominess on this Earth.

I wonder why some people think of things only in black and white, on and off, yes and no, as if we are equipped with a computer CPU in our cranium. We are human beings equipped with biological brains with a different scheme for thinking... may be decimal or hex-decimal, or..., but not rigid binary one.
Between black and white, there is a great area of grades of Grey. This Grey area is liberating, makes us unique, diversified, imaginative, flexible and broaden the horizon of our thinking as well;... no electrical gates, the status of which is either open or closed, but numerous gates that enable us to delve into infinity.
