Shilpa Shetty has already told Channel 4 that she did not think there was any racism going on in Big Brother. I have not been watching BB but have seen the clips on BBC TV News. My impression is of the two ugly sisters being confronted by the Princess (Shilpa) who is both beautiful and highly intelligent. The women who have 'slagged' Shilpa off, are just a couple of losers. You are quite right about the stupidity of race relations between UK whites and UK Asians (Asiatics in English). Political debate in UK is always confrontational. So far just about everyone both in UK and India have had a chance to scream and shout about what's been happening in Big Brother. My impression of India was of a half asleep democratic giant. Not anymore. They're on the ball and giving it their best, burning effigies of the producers of Big Brother and making lots of noise. Good for them. I was rather hoping for a bit of flag burning - pity.

When Jade was busting a blood vessel, getting all irate with Shilpa, over the great oxo debate, did you notice how cool Shilpa remained. That takes great character to do that. She is one of a kind. She won't need Karate on Jade, save it for someone worthwhile.

well, jade would certainly do with a kick on her face. though shilpa might have often felt like punching jade's lights out, she confronted her with her greatest weapon-dignity. i think she should continue with that. she should not stoop to the level of jade goody and her gang
