Knowing or not knowing how to whistle didn't stop you from turning into an adult, if everybody could do everything there wouldn't be a meaning in learning, and if you don't learn or master everthing you are taught it doesn't change the birthday numbers that make you an adult, basically there's a lot of things adults don't and can't do.

Perfectly normal - been trying to whistle since I was a kid and now in my late 30s I still cannot whistle despite many hours, days and I dare say now months of trying! I have now given up and if I feel the need to whistle, I'll pop to a sports shop and buy a referee's whistle....happy blowing.

I know how to whistle and have known for most of my 44 years, however, try as I might, I am completely unable to whistle. Something to do with regressive genes I understand.
I'll never get a job as a milkman or postman...

Do you have a gap in your teeth or a lisp? I have both - makes it very difficult,so I can't whistle!
