My picks: First, Texas. Second, I think would be Colorado.

Texas: some of the friendliest people anywhere; huge, thriving cities (D/FW, Austin, San Antonio, Houston,) great job market, eclecticism in Austin, history in San Antonio and Ft. Worth, beaches, mountains, prairies, deserts, corn nuggets, Houston Astros, a great state! And the women...wow!

Colorado: Never been there, but seen the pictures. I've heard mixed reviews about the people. But get away from the cities, the view, I'm sure, is unbelievable and indescribable. I'd like to get a feel for nightlife in Denver, but also ski and hike in the mountains. What do ya think?

Kentucky, while beautiful, is no hotbed of economic growth and progessive thinking. The politicians have helped to prohibit growth and development. People are, by and large, guarded and frankly hateful (especially Louisville); small towns are very sheltered and closed off to "the outside." I'm a native who has NEVER felt comfortable or at home there.

Colorado!!!! I'm from there and have lived and traveled all over the US. It is by far the best state. (And I'm not just biased because I'm from there.) The people are friendly and laid back. The mountains are beautiful. The air is crisp. The weather is wonderful. The Denver nightlife is great (have you watched MTV's Real World Denver?). Downtown Denver is a ton of fun. The sports teams are good (if you don't count the Rockies). There's a ton to do.

Texas is a good state, and I've never been to Kentucky. But my vote is Colorado by far. I mean look at it: http://www.ultimatetaxi.com/2002/colorado_fall2.jpg

Sounds as if you've been to Texas and Kentucky. Why not venture out and choose Colorado. I think Montana is a better choice, more space and fewer people.
