I truly hate this programme, abnd everything it stands for.
However, it's nothing that a gallon of 4* and a box of matches wouldn't cure.
I sincerely hope that this latest headline grabbing publicity (and money-making) stunt is enough to get the show cancelled for ever and ever and ever.
All reality TV is crap - it serves no purpose than to give egocentric fuc#wits a platform to show-off to the clearly brain-dead audience.
Persoanlly, I'd rather they used the airtime to show more episodes of something worthwhile - like the Simpsons.

It is crap for entertainment but good as a wake up call (reality) though it is hyped a little. This is what society is becoming if left unabated and hating the programme translates to a need to bury our heads in the sand. It will not go away but get worse and hating the programme will not solve the issues that are reality to an increasing percentage of people in the UK (foreign or otherwise). Think of neighbours from hell, ASBO teens etc then look at the other reality shows (Trisha, Jeremy etc). I have heard things were different ten years ago. It is an indication that society in general has lost its way and it seems that a noticeable gap is emerging based on social groups/ class. Some of the ethnic wars/ genocide in Africa started because one social group was perceived more privileged than the next. It is a thin line and we must tread very carefully indeed. It troubles and frightens me to know that this people are part of our community with a circle of like-minded friends. Ripples have a way of gaining momentum as history would show.

No. I could never be arsed with it either, and nor could 2 of my housemates and at least 1 person I work with. In my house last year, we had a competition going: we had to get through a week without having BB on the tv - accidentally or otherwise - for more than 2 minutes at a time.
We actually managed it!
I've got drawn slightly into the Celebrity Big Cretin this time, because of all the fuss and hysteria about racism etc. I wanted to know what all the noise was about.
It's kind of like watching a car crash... you know you should look away, you know it's wrong, but the horror of it all freezes you and it's virtually impossible not to look.
Incidentally, to all who bang on about 'mindless morons' watching this - be less keen to label people. Don't get me wrong; I agree with you completely that BB is tripe. The fact is that I know plenty of incredibly intelligent people, like my best friend, who is a maths lecturer at Cambridge, who are addicted to this crap. I don't understand why, but I'm not narrow minded enough to suggest that they are too dumb to know any better. I am not that stupid, nor that judgmental, nor that bloody immature. Are you?

Nice to meet you...
I am the only person in the US who hates Harry Potter and the show "Lost."
I do watch the BBC channel more than anything else and I prefer a nice episode of Cash in the attic to most of that other garbage. Give me "keeping up appearances." any day!
We have a version of Big Brother here too... I seriously think the Pretty Asian host, that is always being interviewed everywhere, on EVERY news and entertainment program, is a seriously well put together drag queen! I would therefore like to install a Big Brother camera in her bathroom when she isin't expecting it and watch what takes place! Now that... I would watch!
I never watch that kind of trash!
There are more of us... I'm sure of it!

I too hate this inanely depressing attempt to entertain the ignorant masses, who have little to enjoy in their own lives and so take pleasure in watching a group of nonsensical fools parading around, how droll!!
Last year even when they had the controversial and intellectual George Gallaway in the Z-List Celebrity Big Brother House I could not bring myself to watch this filthy stain on our public.
The funniest thing I find is that half of the audience (probably Sun or Star readers) who watched this rubbish were probably in agreement with the racist philistines as sadly we live in a country where to vote for the extremist BNP is seemingly more acceptable. Probably saying something as ludicrous as she is taking one of 'our' jobs, when 'our' seemingly refers to ones state as a British citizen (anyway who in this country truly is British not many - most have Irish or other nationalities in their ancestry).
I am glad that this show has started to implode under the weight of its' own ineptitude and poor programming. And maybe soon Davina McCall will finally be off the television for good!!

Indeed you are not, sir.
From what little I've seen of the current offering it is most certainly scatalogically over-endowed. In fact, the only reason I am aware of it is the pathetic way in which the news media has gone derrier-over-ladylump in their coverage. Why is that? Are the Editors all dead?
I hope that the latest developments, vis-a-vis sponsorship withdrawal, and the diplomatic incident it caused, (!?), will cause the programmers to buck up their ideas and stop pandering to the lowest common denominator.

I'm not in the UK and I hate it more and more each time I look at questions in here. I asked who someone was and commented about the person hating on the US & India in their question and he reported me. I like the show somewhat, but I'm really tired of all the questions in here, since they are all the same!!!

No, not alone, but I think we're a (thinking) minority. I don't watch much tv at all, its become more mindless generally. Tend to watch dvd's, movies and old tv programmes, dvd's enable you to be more discerning.
Someone said to me the other day that if radio is the theatre of the mind, does that make television the theatre of the mind - less!
