Yes I hate the Taks test, I have hated it for 25 years.

It's one reason I left teaching. Nothing but TAKS pressure every day. I'm sure other states have similar tests that are crammed down children's throats. Now, with Bush's No Child Left Behind, there might be another test in addition to the TAKS in Texas.

Alot of people here are not from Texas so you might want to tell them what the TAKS test is.

I think it's crap too. Teachers are teaching only the TAKS answers and not what a student needs to actually succeed and go on to college. The state of Texas gives money to school districts based on TAKS outcomes. Another flawed system put on us by the government without thought.
