My husband asks the same question all the time when he sees a new story about a celebrity. I think it's because they seem to live lives that aren't considered ordinary. People treat them like they're special. It's all about fantasy. The grass always seems greener on the other side. Unfortunately, although celebrities have folks to mow their lawn, most of them are too miserable to enjoy the beauty of their lawn! lol!

Maybe they don't have a personal life of thier own! LOL. I had a friend that was so obsessed with the stars and I know that girl didnt have much of a life of her own. She lived alone, no one at work really cared much for her, her family wasn't around and the ones that were weren't interested in being around her and she didn't have a steady boyfriend, so she obssessed over the stars. Now she is all about her new husband, go figure.

I agree with you 100%. I think people become obsessed about their supposedly "perfect life" the money, the success living in the high life I guess. But being a celebrity comes with a price, no privacy, too much money that they end up doig stupid things with it, conceit and OVERPAYED......
I am happy with my small life that I lead - it is meaningful and I work at what I have and think I value it more.. Plus I know that nobody is perfect and that is why I think celebrities are so overrated....

Becasue of stupid reality shows like cribs is what made people think that being famous and being rich is what all life is about when ist not !!! Then that super sweet 16 show came on and it shows regular people who are as rich or even richer than celebrities !! The horror of it all !!!

I am not obsessed, but i do find it interesting to watch the outlandish crap that follows them around.. It is so out there, the crazy stuff that real people like us don't ever have to deal with. It just allows me to sit back, chuckle, and realize that money will never buy class.
