I've been stressing a lot lately and I'm getting bumps all over my face (I'm 20 and never had an acne problem when going through "the change"). Does that stuff really work?

Yes. My friend got it & her face cleared up quickly. Though she doesn't use it much anymore cause she thinks it's annoying to do all the steps of Proactiv everynight. If I had it, i'd use it everday no matter what!

I've had acne since I was 12 or 13 and I will be 23 next week and still have it. Tried everything! I been reading up on proactive, I found a forum that someone asked your same question, 186 people responded, half hated proavtive and the other half loved it. So I think it depends on your skin. I ordered the trial for $19, it was $25.95 with shipping, I havent gotten it yet. so cant tell you if it works. But I read about Neutrogena Oil Free Acne wash on that forum, so I figured I would try it until the proactive arrived, I saw a difference in just my first use. So try the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne wash first. Proactive does cost alot. I will use the proactive when I get it, but I think I will stick with the Neutrogena for long term. hope I helped and good luck.

It worked for me, it doesnt work for everyone. I never had bad acne or acne at all, I just started usuing it for the blemishes I'd get like during "that time of the month". Now I still get little ones here and there, but they don't last nearly as long and my face has improved over all. If you want to try, get the $19 one on TV to try. Make sure you get a moisturizer as well, that is not included in the 3-step. I use the oil-free with SPF15, they also have a green tea moisturizer. Once you order it, when it arrives, they send a little catalog with other products like oil-free make-up, foundation, pore cleansing strips and shampoo and body wash. If you can find a kiosk in the mall, you will pay a lot more. If you order from the catalog, you get a "club" price.

YES YES YES! I have had moderate acne all my life. I went through 2 rounds of Accutane in my early 20's to get it under control, but still had breakouts for years. I started using ProActiv about 3 years ago when I became pregant with my son (total hormonal skin nightmare!) and my skin cleared up in no time. Just like the infomercials, people actually started commenting on how pretty my skin is. I've been using it ever since. Beware though, it has a tendancy to bleach clothes, towels, rugs, etc. because of the peroxide content, so avoid washing your face in your favorite blouse!!

the best way is to really go to a doctor instead of fretting over self help solutions. most people are unaware that doctors also sell beauty care products. it's not that expensive either.

as for proactive, i am a user of proactive for the past 4 years.
no complaints, it's worth trying.
the package also comes with a little booklet on tips for dealing with acne. i have a little library. lol.

Yes! It worked for me.

I used to have very bad acne and I thought it would never clear up--I would never leave my house without makeup!
I tried so many cleansers that worked temporarily before I tried Proactiv.
Although, I noticed after going on the pill, my face cleared up in no time and I'm still happily blemish free.

Proactiv is pure Benzoyl Peroxide. It is a short term fix only but long term it will damage your skin. The peroxide is an alkaline solution and your skin is acidic. It will over dry your skin like soap will and compromise the protective (acidic) barrier of your skin. It is better to use a skin friendly product such as Dermalogica or any other face friendly product. Try to use one product line of skin care instead of many products. Check www.dermalogica.com to see if there is a spa in your area.

No way! DO NOT waste ur money on that junk, it's useless. U probably have started getting oily skin, if not, i would c a doctor, don't ask why. Here's what does work, rubbing lemon juice over ur face, i promise, ur pimples 2 B will dissapear in like a week!
Good luck!

yes, personally, i think it does tend to work if you've had acne for a while and need to get rid of it once and for all..

be very daily with ur regimine... and dont skip any of the steps....

also, if your skin tends to get oily, even WHILE using proactiv, start alternating products,, like using proactiv one week very regimented and then use like Neutrogena for like a couple of days..

hope it helped <3

Actually, I believe it depends on the person, but it did not work for me. I was severly disappointed because it didn't work, and the price was high.

The thing that I found that works wonders for my skin is Noxzema. You can buy it at Dollar General or Wal-Mart for around $3.00. It's amazing.

I really hope that helps!

Jessica Simpson and Brooke Shields say that it does! Seriously, I have talked to people that have used it because I want to get it for my almost 12 year old granddaughter and they say:
It works but you HAVE to stick to it and use it as directed.
It is expensive.
It can "burn" sensitive skin.

I guess I would suggest trying it for a month and seeing how you react to it. Good luck!
