It sucks. So much for the "land of the free". We shall never be free as long as the income tax system is in place. A national sales tax is the only fair system.

I think we are slaves to our own consuming. No matter how much we have, we want more-and when we get that we want more. We also suffer from neighbor envy, so when the neighbor gets that new SUV they can't afford, we want one too. So, even people making very good incomes feel poor! You'll often hear "we're a nation of consumers!"

Anyone who is on W-2 status is for sure the first few months of every year. The do nothing but lip service now Congress may raise their freshman base pay from $165,000 to $168,500 not including bribes,payoffs & lobbist funds etc.

How does that differ from being a citizen of any country? Unless you are the slavemaster yourself, err, government official, you owe fealty to some government, and of all the governments on this earth, the one in the USA is the least oppressive.

it sucks if you look at it like that, unless you find the little cracks to screw the system. cuz when you look at it this way you're just getting back your money you honestly earned. i dont think thats worse than what they are doing to us.

I like lower taxes as much as anyone, but we do receive something - not enough maybe, but something - back for our money.

Like ive always felt..like a whore. Everytime i get my paycheck i feel like a whore. Actually worse, because a whore at least gets to see her pimp. Mine is invisible, Uncle Sam never says hi, he just takes, i mean sheesh, smack me around a bit for not getting overtime for you daddy...
