"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather a skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand, chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "Woohoo, what a ride!!!"

ade8734 well as I am past the age of 42 and now 50 I think I can safely say the meaning of life just gets better and better as we get older, live it, enjoy it, have fun, you only get this one.

noTpoOdLE I just love your sense of humour, give the chocolate to your wife, don't tell her about Chardonnay, live you life to the full, for those who assume I'm an alcoholic chocolate lover, I don't drink or eat a chocolate, both make me ill, but I do love life and this quote was from my 79 year old aunt who though I would appreciate it, be happy and lucky, enjoy your life's.

Life should be exactly what each individual makes it out to be. Can you imagine the entire world with a chocolate in one hand and a totally used up worn out body screaming? Thank God for some saneness and organization - Chaos is okay sometimes, but I cannot imagine living my life that way.

I personally want my journey to my grave with the Chardonnay and a wild ride. What good is life if you don't stop to enjoy it sometimes.

Wow! That sound like life would've been one helluva party by the time I get to the end! If that's the case, I want some of that chocolate, change my drink to Smirnoff, and let me in the door of life's party!

I would love to skid in sideways as described above, the only problem is that I would probably skid in a hell of a lot earlier than I intended!

Life is mainly about extending your Genes, which also means working hard. If you choose to play hard, then cool, it's your choice. But i reacon your attitude will be different in 30 years time, you may not play hard then but you can live life to the full.
I wonder what the dead Rockers would say? e.g. Jimi Hendrix, Cobain etc

Not really, could be canny tho' if I didn't have to go to work, but getting out of bed with that 'never again' feeling wears you down in the end. Plus I've got kids I'd like to see grown up and wotnot, but I've no qualms about you going crazy if you want to......

i agree. anyone can try to have a life free of pain. but to experience the pain and at the end be able to say-Woohoo, what a ride!! - it takes some guts. how many of us can really do it?

Definately - Life is too short to worry about things - enjoy it to the full - cos you're not going to live like this again...
