Freedom can only excist in our thoughts and unfortunately that where it stays.None of us are free no matter what we are told or led to believe.Breaking the law cannot be an end to something we do not have.

No, I don't think I live in a free country. Oh, we have some freedoms, but those are being slowly taken away. Then again, I don't think we ever really had freedom the way a lot of people think we do.
The idea of freedom in the USA was set forth by a rabble-rouser by the name of Thomas Paine. When the American Revolution was getting started, it was mainly about the colonies being taxed. The colonists didn't want to have to pay the cost of the French and Indian War. That was it. However, most of them weren't willing to go to war over a few taxes. Enter Thomas Paine and his famous pamphlet "Common Sense". After reading this, everyone was all fired up about "freedom" from a "tyrant"! The politicians attempting to break away from the British government thought, "Ah-ha! We can use this for our cause!" But in reality, there is no freedom. They took Paine's idealism and used it to win the people's minds and hearts. But really, nothing changed. Thomas Paine must be rolling over in his grave right about now.

No I don't believe we are as free as we could be. To foreigners, who live in horrendous conditions, maybe so. We can vote-but I believe "winners" are pre-chosen.
Everything we do costs something. The elderly
work for maybe 50 yrs average and when
they "retire" they have to pay for everything.
We have Medicare-it costs them an arm and a
leg. They should get everything free at retirement. They have ruined their bodies working to better this country and then are put
on the back burner til they die.
As far as laws-some are good, most are not necessary.
We have created this country we live in-we are
too blame for the state it is in. But if we make a stand against something, we end up in jail.
Go figure.

OK, but don't forget that most laws are here to protect us friend. The law may be a cross between a horse and a donkey but it's one of the best of the world herd. At least you won't go to jail in the UK for what you just stated!

There is no free country. To have true freedom there must be no laws, but that would bring utter destruction to society. Life sucks doesn't it? Why not just protest (and have s on you incase police give you a hassle)?

Other than friendship with family and circle of Friends, Yahoo Q&A, provided you don't count the cost of internet connection, used to have things like free speech, but with so many do-gooders and PC this is no longer an option.

Its a criminal offense to thieve and homicide - thats actually not spectacular. and those idiots be attentive to better!! because of the fact there taking something significant from somebody else and it ought to truly kill the different individual. as long as we don't all behave like imbeciles then the worldwide is effective. would not it fairly is lots worse if we did not have regulations in any respect. whilst could the insanity end then?

We DO NOT live in a free country. We must be consumers or we get locked up as a terrorist or a mad man.
