Now that we have winter weather in California, Texas, Oklahoma, North Carolina, etc., you don't see the Al Gore Global Warming troopers chanting their propaganda now do you???

I was waiting for someone to point that out . But I'm sure they'll have an 'explanation' that coincides with their beliefs . More 'twisting and spinning' surely on the way .

Is global warming real? I think so but it is not the first time it has happened and man is not the cause. Science has shown that global warming happened before we were here and during the last warming there was a big boom of new life forms created. I think people need to relax a little on the global warming issue. Take care of the planet but don't go so extreme on our part in global warming. Stopping pollution is good for everyone so can't we just take a common sense approach.

What's wrong with Global Warming? If not for the Earth getting warmer, we'd still have glaciers in Alabama. That would make farming the Great Plains impossible. Maybe it's just me, but I kind of like eating.

Greenland was green when the vikings discovered it, now it's covered in ice. Let's warm the Earth up some more so Greenland can be green again.

If the Earth warms, won't more water evaporate from the oceans? That means more rain, maybe enough to reclaim some of the desserts in the world. Think of all the new farmland.

Why is it we're trying to stop global warming? Seems like a very good idea to me.

Global warming has affected the temperatures and salt levels in the oceans thereby affecting ocean currents and wind streams, which are taking the jet streams into places they do not normally go. Jet Streams are a primary factor in global weather patterns.

Jet streams that normally never hit California are now hitting them.

Warm jet streams that normally never come into southern Canada are doing so, causing extremely mild periods for a Canadian winter.

In Manitoba, we have had a cold snap this winter of -56C (which IS normal) but we also broke records all across the province with tempratures that hit above 0C in Janurary (which, as a 25 year old maniotban, I only remember happening maybe twice, and all in the last few years. We are also being hit with HUGE snowstorms all across Canada, which as you SHOULD know, are an indicator of milder temperature patterns NOT colder ones.

A snow storm in BC has toppled trees that are huge and hundreds of years old.

Man, someone should really go back to grade 9 science.

We don't have anything to worry about with global warming!! That's why President Bush signed the Kyto agreement his first term in office, because It's just propaganda!

Living in Oklahoma we see all kinds of weather. If one looks at the history of our weather, it's obvious that last years 110 degree weather was not because of global warming. We can see that our winter storms are not new either. From tornados to heat and cold, records are set now and records were set YEARS ago.

People can type "their" State Weather Records and something should come up.

I like to call it a climate shift... Which is a sign of Global warming.

What do you call the week long 50 degree weather in central PA, and before that is was in the 40's. Traditionally at this time in central pa it is a good 20-30 degrees during the day.

No snow accumulation yet either. It may snow at night, but by morning it is gone. It's a climate shift... Which scientists claim has to do with global warming...

What would you call it?

Rent and watch "An Inconvenient Truth" and maybe you and the rest of the morons who believe that Global Warming is a myth will shut up.

Honey - global warming causes strange weather patterns. Like "winter weather in Texas, Oklahoma, North Carolina, etc.," for instance. It doesn't just mean that it's hot all the time.

Do some research, please.

The threat of global warming not on a single week or month in a year. Look at the trends of this year - why are oil stocks so high? Because generaly this winter has been warmer. No one said Omaha was going to be Miami Beach anytime soon. It takes time.

We have other things in our lives to do. Everyone is just pausing for a while. The most active activists don't manage to stay active all parts of the year.
