Even though it sucks, in life we often have to do things that aren't a lot of fun. Just keep in mind why you should study and the great consequences that can come from studying (or the negative ones from NOT studying).

It may be a good idea to reward yourself for studying. For example, tell yourself that for every 15 minutes of studying, you are allowed to watch 15 minutes of TV. This could help motivate you by giving you something to look forward to.

The best thing to do would be finding a place where there are no distractions, it's quiet, and you are able to sit down for at least an hour to get in some good study time. If you keep at this every time that you have to study, this can become a great study habit, and it will help you become better at studying. Hope this helps.

When doing computer read the help files of MS Windows and MS Office
While watching TV watch channels such as Discovery, National Geographic and BBC/CNN/NDTV
You will have to develop the learning habit in order to get back to studying

take your book and study materials some where else...go to the library, go outside....also try find a study group. It will be fun to be with your friends, but be sure to find serious study friends...they will help to keep you on topic.

You may even see if your school offers any tutoring.

If you think you're problem could be worse, check with your doctor and explain your attention problem. More than likely though, your like most people....no one enjoys studying, lol.

organize your work area so you are comfortable. do everything you think will destract you before you sit down to study.. go to the bathroom, get a snack, ...

get in the zone.. think about what will be on the test.
take alots of notes especially on vocab words or sentences that are hi-lited.

make yourself comfortable and think only about the subject you are studying... it is not easy but set goals and then take a break. study for a set amount of time then reward yourself with 10 minutes of break time.

maybe you have a friend you can study with. make it fun.

I have this same problem. It's all up to you. You have to be dedicated to studying, no one else is going to do it for you. Get yourself in a quiet place with no distractions and get busy. Read a small amount at first, take notes...then try reading more and more as time progresses. It has to be done, and you're the only one who can do it!!!
