Arrrrr, lass, I be a Pyrate!
At age 9, I saw Errol Flynn in the movie, "The Seahawk". Beginning the next day, I knew my destiny was to be a scurvy-dog! My hobbies and fun surrounded pirate lore and nautical history. I even joined the Marines over the Navy, because of the cutlass and sea combat!
At 41, I have more than realized my destiny, as now, I get paid to be a Pyrate, and I don't be stealin' or plunderin' the booty to survive.

You know I never even thought about being a pirate until I lost my eye in that horrible accident, and then that bear trap took off my leg and all I could afford for a prosthesis was an old wooden peg. And then I contracted scurvy.
Then I said, "Argh! Firetruck it!"

I thought it would be cool to date a Pirate and be on ship for the plunders....but it never happened.

I never really thought I'd be a pirate, more of a gypsy....which is technically a land locked pirate, I guess! :)
