Absolutely. I believe that every person has a special ability that makes them different from everybody else. I think that people underestimate themselves. I know I do.
Albert Schweizer once said that consciousness may be nothing more than finding your niche. I tend to agree with that. Once you find out what you want to do and what you are the best at, you can derive from both of these what it is that you SHOULD do.
Personally, I don't know what my purpose is yet. I mean, I love music, especially live, so I want to own a concert hall and invite a lot of punk and reggae artists to play at my place, especially because I'm a good businessman. But I lack the financial means to do so. What about you? Have you found your niche? Because once everybody is doing what they want to do, consciousness and self-actualization may be achieved.

We all have an impact on each other just by being alive. From the moment we are born we are part of the butterfly effect that makes human existance. Therefore purpose sometimes is not as easily defined as saying 'You will do X, Y and Z to achieve A!' Also I believe more specific purpose is defined by you as a character. Some people will get up and goo right from the start of their lives, some people will wait until something specific happens their 'Moment of truth' before they do anything, others will just react to things that go on around them kind of just 'drifting' along. The short answer to your question is we all have 'purpose', but because of some people's nature that purpose can be harder to define!

yes.
everyone and everything has a purpose
i'm not saying it's god, but something out there is making things they way they are.
i am kind of supportive of the thinking what must be will be, although i think we should ignore this in the present and think about it only in the future or past. when we reminisce, we shouldn't regret silly things or pointless things, because maybe even things that weren't pleasant taught us something... like saying something embarassing in front of a group of people.
while making decisions about the future, we should weigh out the options properly, but it is ok to think 'it'll be for the best anyway' before deciding.
my purpose in life is like the purpose of a nail on a ship. not really needed singularily, but part of a whole.

Yes..This is a dumb question..Why will be here in this world if we didnt have a purpose...why you and why me....because we have a purpose thats the simple way to answer the question....
Other answer is.... every human have a choice to make... therefore there is a purpose...
Purpose..there two... good (positive choice)...bad (negative choice)

Yes. We have a purpose for living every day. If you sit down with yourself at the end of the day and can't come up with a good reason for having lived that day, then what good are you doing anyway? You're just using up natural resources that are too precious. You need to give back.

To expound how people really are!
Show them their own reflection.
Guide them to feel out their own true intent.
So they can figure out how, selfish, rude, unthankful, negative, whinny, immature and wrong thinking they really are. All in the hopes that they will make a change for the better.
Hey, we all need to grow up some day.
{For the betterment of society}

no, an aborted fetus and a person who walks in front of a car and gets hit, or an airplane that crashes in the andes and people have to eat each other doesn't give me much confidence that we have a purpose.
we make up purposes so that our lives feel useful and not mundane

yes, from a biological standpoint, we are all here to reproduce and evolve our species. Have kids, raise them as best you can. That is the purpose of a human, to breed another more evolved human.
