Because he is a stupefied moron who lets his f*cking ego stand in the way of progress. If he backs down he will be ridiculed even more than he has been. He won`t let his prestige be harmed even if it means more dead. If you put clowns in charge, your gonna get a circus. The white House is the three ringed variety at present.

DO you mean to ask, "Why doesn't Bush think talking to Iran and Syria, the very people causing chaos in Iraq, is a good idea?"

This recommendation was LAUGHABLE if it were not so utterly stupid. I'm glad Bush is ignoring it.

It doesn't go along with his "stay the course" ideology. Also, that would include backtracking on many things, like with the illegal wiretapping.

Like #19, its my favorite.....The United States should stay in close contact with the Iraqi government/leaders.
