The flamingo is middle of the road. It's not glitzy or glamourous but it gets the job done. There are many rooms at the flamingo that are in desperate need of renovations. Others are just your standard hotel room- nothing special. If you splurge for a suite, you're sure to get something nicer.
As for the grounds, the pool area is lovely but I wouldn't compare it to something like the MGM Grand or Bellagio.
Basically if money is a factor, Flamingo will probably be cheaper, but still be nice. If you can spend a bit more, check out the MGM Grand, Mirage, Paris, and Treasure Island. If you can spend LOTS more, check out the Bellagio, Wynn, Mandalay Bay, Caesars Palace, or Venetian.
As with anything rates can change all the time.
Also, if you're big time gamblers you may be able to get some of the rooms/wedding services/food comped depending on how much you spend. Always be sure to book directly with the hotels and sign up for their slot/gambling cards as soon as you arrive.
Good luck :)

I got married there and it's absolutely beautiful. The grounds surrounding the gazebo look like a tropical forest, with waterfalls, trees, flowers, etc...The staff there is top notch! Our pictures turned out awesome, the flowers were beautiful, etc...
I highly recommend them!

Imperial Palace is now the Quad and Bills is gone. Try either Ballys or Harrahs. If you get a monorail pass it goes from Flamingo to LVH which is also cheap.

All the casinos in Vegas are nice! If your having a down to earth type wedding then yes deff. get married there, but if you are having a very elegant wedding go to the Balagio or one of the hotels on that caliber! Congrats!

I stay at the Flamingo every year! I love it, it's smaller and they do have beautiful grounds. I think it's fine for a wedding. Obviously there are bigger and more beautiful hotels but they are way too expensive.
