Heros depend upon the individual. Every person has a different concept of what a hero is. It can be as simple as a person who provides love or as big as a person who saves a life.
Take care,

I think a hero is someone who does the right thing even when no one is watching. And they don't feel the need to tell everyone they know about the "cool" thing they did. Anyone can be a hero. You don't need to have super powers or save any body's life.

Willingness to sacrifice yourself for something else or the greater good. The obvious example would be anyone in the military. They go off away from their families to protect our country. We call them hero's when they die in battle but they are all hero's making the daily sacrifice saying that our country is more important then them or their families. They renew this commitment every 4-6 years and it is a great responsibility every time they make that honorable vow to put the country above everything else in their lives including themselves, their spouses, and their children. Of course not everything is so clear cut in life and the little things count on the big scale of things too. I would say that anytime you do something that is for someone else's good but may make your life harder would be considered an act of heroism.

Hero is someone who can make a positive difference whether seen in public or background supporting to either the World, his/her country, his/her hometown, his/her family, or even to an individual whose life has changed for the better because of you.
Everybody's a HERO in somebody's mind. To me, my dad and mom are my heroes though they might not be fully aware of it.
That special someone could be a hero in your mind =)
Could it be that you are that someone special to somebody?

A hero is someone who is courageous in spite of being afraid. A hero perseveres and accomplishes despite obstacles facing him/her. A heroic act can be as grand as saving another's life or as simple as struggling through life courageously in the face of hardship or difficulties.

To me, the meaning of a hero is doing something for someone that they are incapable of doing for theirselves (and doing it out of the goodness of your heart). Giving of yourself to others always makes you a hero!
