Yes! There are dozens of potential complications when you get an abortion, possibly very dangerous ones. I imagine you probably don't want to go in because it was a traumatic experience (both physically and emotionally) but it is important to make sure you're doing okay.

Yes, you really should! It's probably already included in the cost if it's like most clinics and there are several good reasons to go.
1) You'll definatly want to make sure that there's nothing internally wrong, whether you feel fine or not it's still important to check
2) Sometimes, very rarely, the abortion is unsuccessful, you'll want to know about that as well.
3) Many times they will perscribe you with more Birth controll pills when you go back, which are included in the cost of the abortion.

Its important to go to the check up!
If you have a regular physician, I wouldn't suggest going to them, get your checkup from same place you had your surgery.
Someone earlier stated that the price may already be included, this is true in most cases, otherwise you may be charged $20-30.
Post checkups are important, it's intended to ensure your body returns to pre-pregnancy or non-pregnancy state and to ensure there are no signs of infection! I'm sure you'd like to know if your uterus is healthy, that is why they give a pelvic exam. You are also given a pregnancy test. Not all tests are the same, some are more sensitive than others, which is why I say return to the same clinic. Also your cervix is extremely sensitive and prone to infection, this is why they prescribe you an antibiotic, so wouldn't you like to know that your cervix is healing?
You made the time to get the surgery done, so make the time to follow-up...altho you may feel fine, but taking the time out to ensure you are healthy on the inside is just as important, don't take it so lightly!
Good Luck

Was it surgical or medical?
If it's medical you really do need to go because they need to make sure that all the pregnancy tissue has passed.
If it's surgical, unless you're feeling ill or have a fever, symptoms of infection, or still "feel" pregnant, no, you don't really need to go.

Yes, the doctor wants to make sure you're not bleeding internally, something that could kill you if gone unchecked.
