I'm getting these procedures done and I want to know how the recovery is and how fast I would be able to do normal day to day things. The Doctor says it takes 4 to 5 days but I know doctors don't tell you the reality? Please give me some input as well on the do's and don'ts.

My mom had a tummytuck....She was moving in about 3 days, but not a lot, just normal things like going to get light groceries or the Dollar Store (some place you won't be for a long time). The first day she did not even try to do anything adn I think that helped her. Take it easy and drink a lot of water (I heard that helps the healing time, although I'm not sure) and be sure to eat. I think that will probably be the most difficult for you, but choke it down. You will be glad you did. Best wishes.

My mom had it done a year ago and had terrible pain. She developed a sensitive skin problem so she was in a lot of pain for about two weeks. She went from about an 18 to a 14 but she was also working out like a mainiac. Now she is small on the bottom and still has huge boobs (36DDD). I keep telling her to get those reduced but now she is fearful of the pain again.
I had plastic surgery about a year an a half ago and it was the easiest thing ever (breasts)
I really think its case by case.

Tummy tuck and Liposuction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
