I have the problem with several of my stiletto shoes, where the rubber or plastic on the heel wears off, exposing metal underneath. Does anyone else have this problem? How to fix??

This happens to heels a lot . The best thing to do is take the shoes to a repair shop.

I have that problem alot, it mainly happens on the poorly made shoes such as the ones being bought from charlotte russe or wet seal. Take them to a good shoe repair, I have even had metallic gold or silver heels put on some of my shoes it's a bit more expensive but the outcome is great.

Just bring them to a cobblers to get repaired, sometimes you get spair rubber bits to put on - you could probably do that yourself, but to be honest I'd let the professionals take care of it - you don't want to ruin a pair of shoes!

mine does it all the time, i now use stair savers, its a long piece of rubbery stuff with grip on it, you peel off the back and just stick it on, i just cut off a tiny piece and stick it to the bottom of the shoe or you can take it to a shoe repair shop and they'll fix it the stair saver is the cheapest alternative. you can buy it at any canadian tire or home hardware etc.
good luck

I sometimes have this problem as well. I always take mine to a reputable shoe repair shop. I haven't really seen anything that is DIY. Sorry. :-(

The best trick I know is rubber foam. You cut it in a small piece and nail it to the tip of the heal.
