Now, true success is defined by accomplishing your goals. I had a friends in high school that wanted to make his first million by the time he was 21, and he did. He's now a multi-millionaire.
Do you want to start your own busiess? If you accomplish that goal you are successful. If the business fails then you were never successful because you either didn't research the opportunity correctly or you did put in what it take to get results. A job half done is not worth doing at all!
If you want to fly around the world then you are successful when you accomplish that goal. You are not successful if you compromise your goals. You want to fly around the world, but half way there you get bored or decide it's not worth it so you decide to stop at the halfway mark....you just failed. Success is creating a goal and reaching it without having to compromise and except some level of failure.

Being happy at what you are doing. Having ample food, clothing, shelter and good transportation, so you don't have to worry about it. Being appreciated by those you love and who love you. Good luck on your essay. :)
