Taking L-lysine which is a amino acid, sometimes sold as L-lysine plus with extra immunity booster vitamins. This is sold in both pill form and in a lipstick type.
This will help to cure cold sores faster and prevent their return if taken at the moment of feeling the tingle.

this is what ear wax has in it.Glandular secretions, sloughed skin cells, normal bacteria present on the surface of the canal, and water may all be present in ear wax. now would you want to put bacteria on a herpes simplex which a cold sore is?you need to treat the cold sore for what it is and not mess with something that is a hear say and doesnt work.

hell no! ear wax is full-to-bursting with dead germ, bacteria, and dirt that accumulates in your ear...if the bacteria can get through the skin, it may make the cold sore worse. i dont know what the hell kind of people told you that, but that is so nasty!
