Some MP3 players are unable to player Windows Media files, the Micrsoft format for music files (Apple have AAC, the universal format is MP3).

There is a controversial piece of software called FairUse4WM can be used to strip Windows Media DRM 10 and 11. There is also Microsoft's own choice, PlaysForSure.

If you are creating media from your own CD collection, then change the WM options to import to MP3 format now WMA, then you'll be able to transfer them without a problem.
