Not a hammers fan but he is a decent centre half to be honest west ham could do with 1 or 2 more defenders cause they are terrible at the back.

Having seen Callum Davenport grow up in the youth system at Coventry and into there 1st team plans, he looked a real quality centre back, he was in the Championship at the same time as Michael Dawson, who is also a quality centre back.
But when Davenport has played in the Premiership, to me, he just doesn't look up to the class of other centre backs in his age range, Anton Ferdianand, Michael Dawson, Kolo Toure.
I think he is Championship level at best.

i think he has done allright for spurs these last few months, For a skinny bloke he has quite a presence as a center half... Good luck to him... Look at routlage (Cant spell) at fulham, we thought he was whack and he looks like their best player!!! So Davenport might do some good at west ham... Good luck to ya

I am a Spurs fan and I am quite sorry to see him go. I thought that he was a reasonably good player with a real presence. However, he was never first choice, but as a back up to King and Dawson, he was good value. He will not be able to sort out the problems at Westham who look destiend to be relegated.
I am more concerned with whom Spurs have to replace him, we cannot rely on Anthony Gardner as our only back up centre back

Would have preffered Matt Upson. Ah well give him a go can't be wore than the **** at the moment. Nice trip up the m1 on Saturday to look forward to.
