It actually has to do with the fluid balance in our bodies. It can cause a fluctuation of 3 pounds -give or take- over the day. I got so frustrated by the same thing that I finally visited with my Dr. about it. That is the answer I received and I trust him. I hope I could help. For more info also maybe try webmd.com?

Do you have anything to drink after 6PM. While you sleep your body does consume energy without taking any additions in to it. Your regularity and time of bowel movements and urination also affects daily weight. Water retension for both men and women. A quart of water weighs more than two pounds.

Weight fluctuations of +- 5 pounds daily is normal. Weight change over a longer time period is the true indicator of weight loss/gain. Weighing yourself daily is futile. Once every week or two is better.

I think it would have alot to do with: in the morning your digestive tract has broken down the food the body has consumed if you bowls are working properly you have gotten rid of the waste , your kidneys has released the fluid intake of your body, so there for you would weigh less in the am, in the evening your stomach still has food, and snacks in it. your blatter still has waste in it and your digestive system hasn't completed its daily cycle.
