I thought the preamble to our constitution said something about the persuit of happiness . . if I wanted to persue happiness by smoking a cigerette and there is a law that prohibits this in the confinds of my car then that's inviolation of my rights . . .blah blah blah . . .have these law makers ever driven in traffick with some misbehaving kids in the car some times you need a smoke to keep from having a melt down . . sorry I vented a little there

I do not think this law will stick. Because if someone is making their own car and insurance payment, they can do whatever they want in it. Plus, I cannot see them wasting state dollars on busting people for smoking when there are plenty of people on the same roads driving while hammered (drunk).

Its a great idea, think of the resale value of a car that doesnt smell of smoke. It's not about freedom, being incarcerated for nothing and having amnesty international plead for your release in a third world country is a freedom issue. Put it into perspective.

I think that's great. you know how many kids i deal or have dealt w/ whos parents refuse to quit smoking around them even though they're cronically ill with one or more of these: earaches, asthma, smokers chronic cough. my little cousin who's now 11 ended up in the hospital on countless occasions half dead becuz my drunken uncle and his wife refuse to step outside. Really sux!

We have to protect our children from the noxious effects of second hand smoke!!! It makes the Big Macs, fries, and Twinkies that we're shoveling down their throats taste funny.

You people keep voting for Democrats, so you have only yourselves to blame.

It went out like the wind. We are free to do anything in America..as long as it does not offend anyone or anyone disagrees with it or if anyone has ever gotten ill from it, or if anyone thinks it smells bad or......by the way...eggs make me throw up...I want to outlaw eggs! When I am in a restaurant and see eggs it makes me sick.

America has never really been that free of a country. You can go to other places like Canada and Amsterdam and do a whole lot more than you can in the U.S.A

Well, when smoking stops affecting children and people around you I think its fair that they get the freedom back. But honestly, children across the US die from secondhand smoke that can be avoided. Its for the best.

The control will never stop as long as there is money to be made from our hides. The control will stop when we enter into another world. They won't have control of us there.

Peace
