Do they always love your girlfriends or is this the first?
I don't think it means run out and marry her. I would say that it means family functions will be fun and happy ones.

The real question is, Do you Love your girlfriend? You are the one who will have to live with her. it does however help when your mate and family get along, alot calmer waters..

Not unless they plan on being the ones to sleep with her, get her pregnant, put up with her fits and babysit the kids when they get sick and pay your bills, including the alimony if she decides to walk. What kind of idiotic question is that?!

you are marrying her so it is important that YOU love ur girlfriend and want to be with her FOREVER.
ur family liking her helps, but means nothing if ur relationship isnt solid.
