this is in great debate. because her father and brother ruled with absolute authority, they made many enemies though out the Italian aristocracy. many of them began to spread a whispering campaign about how Lucrezia was involved in many of their machinations. these ranged from poisoning Borgia enemies at dinner, to sleeping with her brother. while she may have been more involved in the political intrigues of her day then most women would have been, it is unlikely that she held that much sway over her relatives. at the time Italian women were expected to be seen when needed and heard from as little as possible.

Considering that her father was the legal authority in Rome for most of her life, anything he or her brother did was technically legal. Women are not traditionally judged for misdeeds, but I have a gut feeling that Lucrezia was not an angel.
