Trust me it will be hot and if you dare to go out between 11am and 4pm you will be baked to a chicken! It's not totally unbearably hot but it just depends what time of day you decide to go out. Hmm..you can take insect repellent because if you get too hot at night you won't be able to cover your body with a blanket!
I hope you have a nice time in Egypt!
God bless!..x

It will be quite warm alright. We were there in Sept 2001 and it was 40 degrees in Cairo.
But what an amazing country, you will have a great time. If you are in to seeing the Pyramids and other monuments and sites, it is just amazing.
We loved it and will go back there.
You will need to bring some insect repellent, but if you want the natural remedy, eat food with plenty of Garlic. That usually keeps mosquitos and other insects away and maybe the odd human or 2.
Enjoy it anyway...

You will find it hot,but not unbearable. Stick to loose fitting cottons, take minimal synthetics as they don't breathe. You should also take a cap or hat.
I am Australian and we have very hot weather, but I find the Egyptian summers much easier to handle due to the dry heat. That is unless you are in the Valley of the Kings and it peaks at 55c.Which happened to me last year in July.
Make sure you keep plenty of bottled water on you in the hotel fridge anywhere you can put it.
It should cost 2L.E. for a 2lt bottle,no more in Cairo,Luxor and Aswan.
At the Valley of the Kings and other sites you can be charged up to 6L.E. or more ,but if you need water what can you do!
Take a water bottle with you, preferably insulated.
If you are going to Luxor and Aswan. Then you will defiantly need insect repellent for mosquito's,not the malaria type but annoying.
Along the Nile is a very, very luxuriant belt of sugar cane, and lots of beautiful flower plants like bougainvillea's,it subtropical growth and watered by canals. So there are mosquito's!
In the desert its fine but in the cities you may need a roll on fly repellent
We have the same problem in Australia.
I travell to Egypt around 3-4mth of the year and have learnt from experience over the past 4yrs.
You will love it and want to go back.Everyone does!
Have a great time.

yes it will be hot from about 30-39 degree celsius (max )
20-29 degree celsius (min )
- huge green areas are present on main cities, so not all of egypt is desert as many people think, so u will need insect repellent if u gonna stay on low level hotels (less than 3 stars ) , but if u went to ramses hilton, nile hilton or hayat regency, no insect problems inside !
- Egypt is very beautiful country, to enjoy it much better have some adequate money with you, your boyfriend or girlfriend, try to have a contact there , he will help u very much to choose places to visit. stay, which prices u gonna pay in some statues or souvenirs ( for ex).
- enjoy !

You can expect it to be approx 40 degrees with 10 hours of sun each day. Definitely get insect repellent, whether inland or by the sea.

So you'r going to Egypt huh. Well, you won't need a insect spray or antyhing like that.. Egypt is very modern in some of it's part.. Well, you need to watch out of it's people sometimes when it comes to money.. People are all after your money and they think forigner have a lot of money which is facts sometimes.. Well, you can avoide all that if don't talk to them.. But you'll easilly get ripped off when it comes to moeny and transportation or and everything in EGypt.. For example, a texi ride might cost locals 5: L.E about 1 U.S.D, but they'll actually charge you 75 for it which is about 10 dollars or more.. You might also want to know that Egypt is very polluted place and really dirty.. the pollution is worse in Cairo smoke every where.. And trash being throwen apart.. When it comes to civilization of Egypt you got it.. It's great and you can see everything from Phyramids to nile. And more...

We went in June last year and it was so so hot - could not sit directly in the sun between 11-3 really but its such a lovely place that its ok! No insect bites for us so i wouldn't worry about that but just take lots of high factor sun cream

It's the desert of course it will be hot. Wear loose clothing (not too loose) just loose enough to let air through. It'll keep you cool. And no you don't need insect repellent.
