ut what if you uilt the drill out of material that would not fail, and you could reach the center?

Well, theoretically you could strike lava, and it when you did so it would not simply leak, it would blow out under enormous pressure. Also, the core of the earth is made of iron and not lava. Reaching the core is just not going to happen, the pressure is just to great. Even today accidents happen and blowouts occur or come close to happening when drillers accidently come across pockets of high pressure gas. Such things can happen when only at depths of a few miles. Having miles of drill string blown out of the hole puts a damper on your day, as it is probably the last thing you will ever see.

You'll never get there - the increased heat as your drill bit and train (the drill and the pipes attached to it) heats up and will fail long before you get anywhere near the earth's core.
