I am a pretty successful "sportswoman" (do have some important titles which one does not usually have). Anyway, I live in a foreign country where a guy is very successful in some sport (preferably don't want to name it) and I have somehow arranged "a date" where he was to come&help me out with something (I talked to his manager who gave me a chance)However, he didnt come as the manager "forgot", so I went to talk to him in person this time; he promised to come (infront of a reporter) but then didnt. So I went there for the last time, I told him listen if you promised to come then do come if not then just say so...i also gave him my email to write me in case he couldnt make it. anyway, he said hes gonna come today, what a "surprise", he didnt...i know he was sceptical because he didnt really know what is he suppose to show me since its not exactly the same sport but still...if he made a promise he should have come. What should I do next? Should I forget the whole thing?

to tell you the truth, I want to get "back" at him somehow, I feel really like a dumb idiot because he played me. Maybe I should tell the press he"s nothing but a plain idiot...I dont know, I dont know...

been there, and KNOw exactly how you feel! But unfortunately the best way to go about it, is just forget about it. I know it would be great to tell him off and revenge, but when you do that it will always back fire on you - ALWAYS!
First the stupid guy will think that if you went to all that trouble to payback you must think the world of him - so the last thing you want is to give him the satisfaction of thinking he is great and you admire him like a fan.
Secondly guys like than don't have any character and are mainly jerks so if you do something they will let others know you did it and put that in sentences like "look I can't keep the women away from me, that one wanted me to met her, I didn't go and she was so mad she did this. I'm really good, aren't I?" It has been done, believe me.

These kind of stupid men (if we can call them men, as they have the responsibility and character of a toddler) all they deserved is to be ignored and never that you don't spend another minute thinking about him.
One minute of your life is too good to spend on such a person. :)

you didn't give a lot of detail I would like to know to give the best answer but I will try. I suspect it may be that in his sport his manager controls him to a big extent and is telling him to not bother or to forget it - the reason he didn't remember to pass that message. I would just forget it and let it go because it may not be his fault at all.

Hello! Although he sounds like a prude, trying to get revenge will make you feel slightly better, but it will make you look even worse later because that is not what matters in life. I hope that you can be the "bigger & better " person and avoid him!!! Good Luck!

I would just move on. Why seek revenge just because he hurt your pride. You seem like a well grounded woman, grow up.

Here's what you do. Borrow a child and a baby(preferably a neice or nephew). "Bruise" them up with some make-up. Yourself as well. Rip up your clothes up. Get dirty. Go see him when he's in front of a reporter. Tell him "I'm sorry and I'll never do it again. Please come home."
