Try to find out where they are getting in at. If your house is on a slab foundation, they may be coming up through a crack at the perimeter. If its on a crawlspace of a basement, thjey may be coming in through an entryway. The house may have rotting wood somewhere. Crickets often live in rotten, crumbling wood.
The cracks can be stopped up with caulking. The rotten wood requires bigger repairs.
If you cant keep them out, go to your local Humane society and adopt a Gecko lizard. They eat crickets and make good, if rather startling, pets..
By the way, these mean stupid answers on here are puzzling. It is possible they were posted by your crickets as revenge for wanting to get rid of them.

use a baseball baton to smash them... that thing sure doesnt look a 'bat', more like a large baton if u ask me.
