A zen-ish interpretation is to sit quietly, while letting your thoughts float by without being distracted by them. When a thought pops up, you acknowledge and let it take it's course without trying to control it.

Eventually all thoughts subside to a respectable degree. After that, you'll be in a trance-like state and generally feel relaxed and peaceful. Which is what most would call the "inner peace".

Okay, I',m gonna answer this the best way I know how.

If I had not seen the spirit approach me in 2001...read my blog "The Fog".
Would've I believed in God?
Did I need to see that to believe when I doubted him?

The answer is that I wanted to believe, but I was so caught up in the world that I didn't know what to believe anymore more and where is my peace of mind and inner peace, you call it.

I wanted to believe in Christ so bad that even if you ask for the miracle would he give it to you and why?

I was one lucky child of God to have seen what I saw and I cannot turn back the pages to understand now that he does exhist, but do not question his authority as to why, this or that, only that everything from death to no matter what it is and how it is, there is a reason.
The only important issue is that if your chosen by God to do some of his work you must do it as I do and I am going to say this once....The Evil that lays within also is the Holyghost.
Think about what I just said.
Have a nice day!!

Why do you think everyone has an inner peace?
Perhaps some of us only have an inner turmoil.
Just a thought.

Go to a quiet place, close your eyes, let things just be for a while. Then tell yourself to find the calm/peace within. When you find it, try to dwell in it.

by being compassionate to all things- this makes us feel good because what we are doig is positive, and thru meditation. meditation stills the mind, reinforces focus on the divinity w/in all of us, and also makes us feel better, thus enabling us to be more kindly to the outer world. taking deep breaths, listening to soft instrumental music, or chanting a mantra blocks out distrations and negative feelings and brings you to the preseng moment.
