No doubt that the empire whose "sun" never used to set has to look back and ponder on how they can survive the future, where imperialism and racism are no more tolerated, nor the false pride of being called a "kingdom"

yes. It is in their blood. They don't know there is other side that "sun" never used to raise in their empire" is also true. They can think only in one dimension. That's why they indulge in this sort of inhuman behaviour

If imperialism and racism can no longer survive, then how will the USA ever make it?!? Seriously, I think it just shows how cruel people can be towards each other in general. High stakes competition with weak-willed contestants trapped in a house together is bound to get very ugly. That's why it was made. It was made to bring out the worst in people so that everyone else could enjoy the violence from a safe distance, kinda like the Iraq War.

Usually people who try to prove or claim that one group or another is racist is a total racist themselves looking to spread hate by accusing others. Do you hope to make a point that the UK is racist? How could you blame a country or a show or a comedian or a book when the country tries to support free speech. In the US the greatest and most public racists are the Revs Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton who, while being phony ministers for credibility, spend all of their time promoting racism.

Most British people are NOT racist. There are a few as are anywhere. You will find some people who do not like someone because of their race in any country on earth. Just try America.

Oh, and they ARE a Kingdom, the oldest one on earth.

The future is the one that, yes, I am concerned about. It seems they let too many of "others" in; and they do nothing but tell them how bad they are.

I do not believe that this is racist.

Bullying... yes, but racist no! Even the housemates that are in the house do not believe this is racism.

If it had of been somebody making fun of a scottish, london or jordie accent it would have been seen as being funny but the moment an indian accent is impersionated then it's racism and manaquins are being burned.

If we are such a racist nation then why do we do so much to support other countires, we allow foreigners to cross our borders and we give them benefits and allow them to work... some racists we are!!!!

I do not know how much you know about "Britishers" but please do not tar everyone with the same brush as Jade Goodie, how she could emotionally destroy Shilpa in that way beggars belief and to be honest she has no room to talk as i believe she is one of the thickest and most ignorant people i have ever seen.
The term "Kingdom" is because we are governed by a monarchy and, i agree,is a bit outdated.
Not all of us are racist or hate anyone that is different.

Shut up, mate. I've had enough of this argument and enough of people abusing the U.K. Why are you whingeing on about the bloody Empire? No-one in England thinks about it. Kids aren't taught about it and no-one is proud of it but if people keep up the 'all English are racists', then it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Why the hell should we put up with being abused? Honestly, get over it and get yourself a life.

What is the greatest generalisation and stereotype, one fool in a house criticising one Indian or a multitude criticising a nation for the folly of one?

Racism is not a British problem alone. I believe India has serious issues with Muslims whereby Hinuds have destroyed mosques. No one can sit upon their high horse on the issue of historical and contemporary racialism.

No…it just highlights the ignorance of those particular three young English women…the elevation of Jade Goody to a ‘celebrity’ was totally unwarranted & a vast proportion of the UK population are embarrassed with her outbursts.

Actually, calling us all racists on the basis of one stupid 'reality' show would be daft... & itself be racist wouldn’t it?

PS I'm English & British...I've never been a 'Britisher'.

If you listen to the show and hear what is being said, there isnt any racist remarks being made, might be nasty remarks, but it is a class thing going on there not racist. press takes it out of context, by not quoting all the sentence.
