The show displays only the nature of our species: to segregate, dominate and to fear the unknown. This will not change, regrettably.

Every country has bigots and racists even India, Africa and USA. I should know all about intolerance I live in N.Ireland and we have it here from all sides - against all races, creeds and religions !!
No CBB has not made England out to be a racist country it has merely shown that it too has racists like every other country.
In this case it has certainly shown Jade Goody up for what SHE is a jealous, childish and cruel girl. To think I used to feel sorry for her when she was a BB housemate!! How wrong can one be.

We mean the UK, the world had a good idea. We are all to blame, the haves, the have nots, the wannabe,s, the can,t be,s, the don,t know how to be,s. Yet amidst all this, there is that Britishness, that can never be understood, or indeed copied. We are all of these not-so-good, failings, yet we have the ability to be the very best in a crisis or emergency, be it our own or that of other Nations. It,s what we are.Big Brother isn,t to blame, it isn,t helping, but it isn,t to blame.

No, but my worry is that the rest of the world will think that all people here are as thick as Jade Goody.
Talking about world reaction - what about people in India reacting out of all proportion by burning effigies of human beings? Historically isn't that symbolic of wishing someone was burned at the stake? To me wishing death on someone is far more offensive than anything that has gone on inside the house.

Well anything with Jade Goody in it will show the ignorant side that's for sure. I don't honsetly think they are being racist, but they are definitely showing that there's a gap between classes and that they have no understanding of other cultures besides their own. I have no respect for blatent stupidity. i think the out cry making a mountain out of a molehill, but i also believe they have been completely disrespectful to that poor girl.

well your statement itself is ignorant considering big brother is a British show and you only refer to England in your question. this is a classic example of the narrow mindedness that people in England have

regrettably, specific your significant different's mom sounds racist to me. what's amazingly unhappy is in spite of her intolerance, bigoted and damaging concepts approximately nationalities, ethincs and so on she has had the prospect to stand her fears and learn from you. Assuming which you have been civil and respectful to her, and have proved to be a sturdy significant different to her son and a sturdy mom to your infants, she might desire to have learnt to not generalise an entire race in a stereotypical damaging way. it variety of feels her blinkered view on race will on no account replace, and that's a real shame seeing because of the fact the subsequent technology are of mixed race. It might desire to be particularly embarrasing and disappointing that she is like that, yet what are you able to realistically do? She remains your significant different's mom and grandmother to your infants. for their sake, shop up the civiilsed pretence of having on along with her for the sake of your dating with your significant different and your infants. by all skill, you could enable him know the variety you experience, yet purely settle for that she in all probability on no account will replace and attempt not circulate approximately it as that's his flesh and blood and he might reason a wedge or tension between you.
