Time was created because something was needed to keep everything from happening all at once.
If you see time as the relation or distance between space and the change in space, then I think you must be prepared to say whether space was created or always was. If it was created, it assumes that there was at one point absolute stillness or nothingness. This is where science meets religion, where there is no proof possible. So I don't think you can answer your question. Science and math can only take you so far.
