I thought this story line was boring, predictable and dangerous. I can hear every feminist cheering. I don't think domestic abuse of any kind a suitable subject for a soap shown at 7.30pm when kids are still watching. Usually at the end of harrowing plots there is a voice over telling you if you have been affected by any issues etc etc. Nothing on this one, funny that.
In situations of domestic abuse, the woman's side is taken every time by Police. They do not recognise that men can be victims of domestic violence.
No hostels for battered husbands, only a handful of helplines. No,Coronation Street have not been clever with this. It was drawn out too long, the character Charlie was never believable, look at Shelly locked in her bedroom for weeks. Silly, silly, silly. Bored the **** of me!

There characters are clearly both as screwed up as each other, I think both charlie and Tracey have both had what was coming to them - i.e. Charlie nearly murdered and Tracey on her way to prison.

I have watched corrie since it started and its always been great....even when its boring!
Blanche is the best and Norris. They are so funny!
The writers really know their stuff and the latest Tracey/Charlie storyline is excellent.

Tracey is a complete b!tch, but such a good soap character. I think she goes down for it though. They work out she is a manipulator and there isn't any proof of her being abused by him in anyway, its all hear say.

The were as good as each other, played the parts so well, I am glued. Just wondering how many copy cat murders claiming self defence we will get in the media now. I'm sure someone will try it ha ha.
