I am scared that if people see my symbol of my faith (pentacle) that they will laugh and call me a witch, devil worshipper etc, all the names under the sun because even though my faith means the world to me i keep thinkingstrange things like the chain will break and it will fall on the floor for everyone to see or it will just pop out of my t shirt without me noticing, insane thoughts like that.

See what i mean?

never be ashamed by your personal believes. If it's right to you and you get a good feeling about it,just go on,never mind the others.Christianity was also a sect in the early days, and Islam suffered from people who had more than one god. I myself am an asatru (look it up on the Internet) and you see what I mean. I don't hide my religious emblems and when people ask about it, I try to explain as briefly as possible.Nobody will put you in chains or do you harm when you have a pentacle around your neck. Find others on the Internet with the same believe and share experiences. Greetz,Luc

Hi there Pagan!
You are entitled to your own belief! And the world is becoming (well South Africa anyway) more and more accepting of other religions and mainly spirituality...
If you can support your belief, know what it is all about, remember knowledge is power, so why be afraid what people think of you, if you 'know' what you believe is true? If you can explain to them why you believe in you belief, then you have nothing to worry about. Unfortunately you will have superiors who will try trample you down, but thats only because they are not open-minded to your belief and don't know what it is truly about.
If you are in doubts about your faith, then don't be afraid at looking at other avenues of religion, keep an open-mind.
All the best.

Got a quick website to send you, but look up others to support your views of what the pentacle means to you, then you can support the reason why you hold it dear to you!... http://www.religioustolerance.org/wic_pent.htm

Name a religion that hasn't been perecuted at some time. Just consider that at least now you won't be burned at the stake for your beliefs. What's a little laughter? Besides, it gives you the opportunity to tell others how you feel. How is that bad? At worst they'll think you are a kook, and what does it matter what they think? Yes, some will tell you that you're going to Hell, but that's just part of the price you must pay for your beliefs.

I'm not saying if you will or will not go to Hell. Hopefully, you'll have time to research that issue for yourself. All I'm saying is that it's silly to live your life based on other people's expectations.

You must feel guilty or bad about your faith then. Otherwise you would not care if others saw it.
