I love playing the Sims and have the playstation 2 version of sims 2 and was just wondering is it worth getting the PC version of this game or is it much the same?

I have the PC version and I think you can do more with it like downloading custom content, more architectural design, and better game play. I'd say go for it! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The Sims has always been a PC game, and I don't think that it would be the same on a console. If you do get it on PC, then it does take up a lot of space on your hard drive, but you have more options avaliable on the PC version and you can add expansion packs.
Personally, I think that the PC version is definately worth buying, it's just a classic game that everyone should have.

I don't know how the sims 2 works on the ps2, but I have the PC version, which also has several expansion packs (such as university/pets/open for business).
I think there are more gameplay options on the PC, such as the sims ageing, having kids etc...
There is also the added benefit of being able to download (or make) your own custom content, which means you have an unlimited supply of items to work with unlike the consoles which have a set number included in the game.

On top of what everyone else has been throwing in about the game and how wonderful it is I have to add that there's a lot more you can do with cheats that and custom material that you make and put into the game (that's what I like best). After you figure out a few simple things your practically a god, its not that hard and I don't think you can do that on a PS or Xbox.
Otherwise, I think its worth it. Go for it. I've always found that the gameplay is easier on the pc anyways.

The Sims 2 to is one of the best PC games around just now it is worth getting. The PC version is better manily because of the expansion packs which give you alot more things to play around with

I have the PC version and I think it is much better than the console. It's very different, but I think if you generally prefer games on console you probably wouldn't prefer the PC version, but they are so different it's hard to compare.

yes it is worth it! its 100% better i promise! its more life like and its more fun! the games arent as dear as da playstation ones nd there more value for da money! ive gt all da sims 2 games on pc nd love them all!

I want this so much. My friend has sims 2 on the comp and its really gud but i suppose if uve got it on playstation then there aint really much point.

NO buy it on psp that way you can play wireless multiplayer. or buy it on ps2
