I feel as though I loved my ****** ex more so than I do my new boyfriend. My last boyfriend I was jealous of and was drama-filled. This one is very relaxing and calm but I feel as though I dont love him as much for some reason. Is it because this relationship is calm and in my previous relationship I was always on edge and trying to prove my love? This is my first drama free relationship and I care about him ALOT. I am 24 and we have been together for 5 months. The first 4 months WERE WONDERFUL! and now I feel as though I dont love him as much?!?!?!

Will I grow to love him more?

I dont want to break up with him I just want the thoughts of my ex out of my head.....I still do nice things for him to show him that I care/love about him alot...

You got me! I answered this on another post. I hope you choose a winner rather than a loser. Because he will definitely bring you to his level whichever one you choose.

Think seriously why you feel like you don't love him as much, real seriously. And is it that you still love you ex or that you just miss the other relationship style or aren't used to the way this one is. Also think about which realtionship you actually feel you like more. And did you really love your ex more than you love this man or does it seem that way because you had to prove your love constantly before and never had the chance to think of anything else. Love isn't alsways the same with ever person, when you love one person it will feel different it you love someone else. . .maybe you do love this man more then you think, you just don't realize because it doesn't feel the same? Just think about stuff like this and you can figure it out on your own.

Relationships are never perfect. There are ups and downs along the way. My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years and going onto 3 years in 3 months. We had ups and downs but the down's-well we talked about it and it made myself and even my boyfriend feel much better. Maybe you should just talk to your boyfriend now and ask him questions that will lead to telling him about your feelings...its going to hurt him alot if you don't tell him what your heart truly feels. This is the same situation as me long time ago with the same boyfriend i have now...I use to doubt him loving me,feeling like i don't deserve him and even telling him that i still have feelings for my ex...but after talking with him, my feelings for my ex just started to drift away which is a GOOD THING. I am so thankful that i have a boyfriend who understands me and what i was going through. If your boyfriend gets mad that the fact you still have feelings for your ex, then he needs to get a grip and just let it go because i know he definitely doesn't want to loose you as his gf. Love takes time. Just let time heal your mind and your heart and just tell him your feelings and how your heart really feels about your ex and him.

i don't think it's about "loving" your ex.. it's about loving the idea of being in love with your ex.. may be you were so used to doing that that even at some point where you couldn't stand him you couldn't let go... i know what it's like.. i didn't have a bf like that or anything but i have liked someone for a year..(or so i thought). my friend dated him and i was devastated..then i figured it wasn't that bad..then she broke up with him and i asked him out because i thought i have my chance... however, he said no (he called me)..and then it's like i blanked out or something...not because i was sad.. i felt..stupid! for liking him.. i remember asking myself "why did i like him *again*?"...then i knew.. it wasn't him, or his generousity..it was the idea of liking him.
