It is a timeless classic; even though it is 20 years old, kids seeing it for the first time today can relate to it and the problems and challenges that Cusak character faces.
Another movie from the same era that is timeless and now circulating on rental shelves again is "Can't Buy Me Love" with a geeky teenage Patrick Dempsey that pays his hot neighbor to be his girlfriend to boost his popularity.
My son is 13 and liked both of those movies more than any of the high dollar, high tech new releases we have seen recently.
