Definitely hand delivered an NO Star Gazer lillies. They smell awful and stuff people up. Something bright and cheery that will last and probably nothing too fragrant because of the person being in recovery. Carnations. Daisies. Tulips. If you can get the latter two. Where I work you can get bouquets of carnations dyed funky colors with glitter on them. I doubt there is a Meijer near you since you spelled it "favour" and not the traditional American "favor". Good luck!

Hand delivered if you think they are up for company, if not, have them specially delivered.
Can't go wrong with roses or carnations.
