I say a strike as well, in game situation at least. Reason being that it also depends on the hitter, whereas with a freethrow it is only up to you.

Well i believe it is easier for a pro pitcher to throw a strike vs a pro basketball player making a free throw.
I would say the same for a college and high school player as well.
So if it where a baseball player vs a basketball player I would say that the free throw would be harder.
Hoever if it were a non-athlete i would say a strike because most can;t throw the ball over the plate and even a granny-shot goes in the hoop from time to time.

I'm thinking the free throw is harder because the strike zone is a much larger target than the rim of a basketball hoop, and you don't necessarily have to aim above the strike zone and arc the ball to hit it.

Sink a free throw. To throw a strike, you just throw the baseball straight. In basketball, you need to throw a bigger ball into a smaller hoop above your head.

Same here, i would choose strike because free throws in basketball are easy.

it's harder to throw a strike, simply because no one stands in font of the basketball hoop with a club to block your shot!

For me, it would be throwing a strike. I love to play basketball, and I am a good shooter, but a lousy pitcher.

Well here's the question I have for you! Is there a guy standing in front of you trying to block your shot when you are attempting a free throw? No. But there is a guy standing at the plate waiting to crush a ball thrown over the plate!
